As you may or may not be aware, from the 25th May 2018, the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into and replaced the existing Data Protection Act 1988. The purpose of this new legislation is to increase data protection rights for individuals within the EU and encourage businesses to collect, use and store data appropriately and in an ethical manner.
